Survival Swim Lessons
The most important thing comes first: survival! Before we teach children to "swim," we teach them essential self-rescue water-survival skills should they ever find themselves submerged in water. All new swimmers will enter survival swimming / floating lessons according to their age.
Survival Floating (under 1 year) Non-walking infants 6 months+ will be taught to rotate from a face-down position in the water to a back float. The baby will learn to rest and breathe on their back until help arrives. After accomplishing these skills in a bathing suit, children will then practice their skills in summer clothing and then progress onto winter clothing. This is critical to survival swimming because most children who find themselves in the water alone are fully clothed.

Swim-Float-Swim (1-4 years)
Walking toddlers and young children will learn the Swim-Float-Swim sequence. Children will learn to swim a short distance with their faces fully submerged, to roll onto their backs to float and rest whenever they need to breathe, and to flip back onto their tummies to continue to swim to safety. After accomplishing these skills in a bathing suit, children will then practice their skills in summer clothing and then progress onto winter clothing. This is critical to survival swimming because most children who find themselves in the water alone are fully clothed.

Children age 4+ will learn all elements of Swim-Float-Swim (above) along with an extra helping of fun. At this age, lessons are longer, and overall duration is shorter.

Swim Academy
Once your child has completed survival swim lessons, they will advance to Swim Academy where they can maintain their skills and progress to the next level.
Baby Guppies
Babies who have graduated survival floating but aren't yet walking will become Guppies, where they will practice their survival floating skills and learn to Swim-Float-Swim once walking. |
Sea Turtle Tots
This is where children transform from survival swimmers into confident recreational swimmers! We practice swimming and learn to have more fun in the water: how to safely dive for toys, jump into the pool, and go down slides. |
Sharks (Level 1 & 2)
Sharks start to learn introductory strokes! We begin stroke drills, incorporate good form, and start to develop strokes so kids can become confident swimmers. |
