Our passion is teaching children water-survival skills.
At Infant Aquatics with Julie, we are committed to providing you with the safest aquatic survival instruction anywhere. Our goal is to teach your child to float and breathe, regardless of the water's depth, for an indefinite period. Our lessons are different than traditional "swim lessons." Here, your child will learn self-rescue aquatic survival skills. Depending on age, your child will learn our roll-to-float sequence or the SWIM•FLOAT•SWIM!℠ sequence that is designed to not only help your child get back to a point of safety, but also allow your child to swim for fun. Lessons are one-on-one, private lessons, about 10 minutes per day, 4-5 days per week. It will take approximately 6 weeks for your child to learn the series. Watch these swimming survival videos to see what to expect from lessons at different age ranges.
Hi, I'm Julie.
I grew up at the beach, surfing and swimming. With a pool in the yard and the ocean nearby, I knew both the great joys and the massive dangers of the water. When I had my son, Louie, I was nervous. I would lay awake at night worrying about him falling in the water. So when he took his first steps at 9 months old, I knew I couldn't wait another minute. I found infant swim survival lessons. Louie quickly picked up the SWIM•FLOAT•SWIM!℠ sequence. To see my son — at 9 months old — landing in the water and using self-rescue skills to flip over, float, yell for help and BREATHE until help arrived — gave me the greatest relief. I felt like I could finally exhale.
Now, at 6 years old, my son is pretty much a fish. I still see Louie using the survival skills he learned. In the ocean, if he gets tired, he flips on his back, floats, breathes, and then continues swimming at a level that is far beyond his years. He LOVES the water, and ever since his survival swim lessons, I haven't lost a minute of sleep. |
So, why did I decide to become a CERTIFIED INFANT AQUATIC SURVIVAL® SPECIALIST? Because when I had my daughter, Dylan, I couldn't find an instructor. I know how NECESSARY these swim survival skills are — not just for my children — but for yours, too. That's why I'm here.
